Inspection and Testing

Pentland Electrics are electrical inspection and testing specialists providing our services to Domestic & Commercial customers.  These services include full certification of new installations and detailed reports on the condition of your existing installation after carrying out a full inspection and test.

Pentland Electrics utilises its membership with the NICEIC Approved Contractor scheme to report and certificate all works.

We also carry out PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) providing a professional, reliable and affordable PAT service to many businesses and organizations.

Pentland electrics provides electrical inspection and testing services for landlords and letting agencies throughout Edinburgh. This ranges from carrying out landlord electrical safety checks and PAT Testing of Landlord appliances.

Pentland Electrics will certify that inspection and testing is carried out by City and Guilds 2391 Approved electricians to ensure installations are safe. All electrical work is carried out in compliance with BS7671 with correct reports or certificates issued. These include:

  • Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC)
  • Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR)
  • Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate (MEIWC)
  • Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)

When issued, both the EIC and EICR will be accompanied by a Schedule of Inspections and a Schedule of Test results
